Chief David Sabo Kente, a leading gubernatorial aspirant for the All Progressive Congress (APC), in Taraba State has appointed an astute politician, Dr Umar Dorofi to serve as the Director General (DG) of his campaign council
Chief Kente, Popularly known as DSK is a business mogul and a philanthropist’ also announced Mr Abba Zagha and Mr Saleh Pintim as the chairman and secretary of his gubernatorial campaign council respectively
The appointment which takes immediate effect is contained in a statement issued by Mr Dalhatu Bente , the Director of DSK media team and made available to newsmen on Monday in Abuja
According to Kente, the newly constituted crack team was as a result of a series of painstaking and consultative engagement with critical stakeholders of the party in Taraba State
He described the DG as a seasoned politician, and astute retired public servant who had served Taraba state diligently and terminated as a Permanent Secretary.
He further explained that Dr Dorofi,s last appointment was a Council Member of the University of Abuja Governing board where he had served for four unblemished years prior to this appointment
The statement also announced the Chairman of the
Campaign Council, Mr Abba Zagha as a veteran politician as-well a former local government Chairman of Karim-Lamido
He was also a former Commissioner in Taraba State from 2015 to 2019 and resigned to joined the APC.
the statement reads that the newly appointed Secretary of the Campaign Council, Mr Saleh Pintim’ is a grassroots political mobilizer from Takum Local Government Area of the State.
Saleh Pintim voluntarily resigned from his appointment as Special Assistant to Governor Darius Ishaku on January 31, 2022, dumped the PDP and joined the APC before this appointment

He expressed satisfaction and confidence in the abilities of all the appointees while charging them to deploy their competence, experience to discharge their responsibilities diligently for the success of 2023 electioneering activities
Kente has said that 2023 election would define and shape the future of the people
We must release Tarabans from the bondage of poverty and unemployment and take our state into a new future of prosperity, Kente said.
