In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Comrade Rikki Nwajiofor, and made available to the media on sunday, the coalition described President Tinubu’s victory as “a clear affirmation of his visionary leadership, unmatched political sagacity, and the overwhelming confidence of APC members in his unwavering commitment to the progress of Nigeria and his ability to continue steering the narion towards sustainable growth and prosperity”.

The group further pledged its total and unwavering support for the re-election of President Tinubu, promising to mobilize millions of Nigerian youths to ensure a landslide victory in 2027 presidential election. The press statement reads in part;

“We, the members of the Coalition of Southern Nigeria Youth Groups for Asiwaju 2027, heartily congratulate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on his well-deserved and resounding victory at the APC primaries. This outcome clearly reflects the confidence and trust our great party has in his ability to lead Nigeria to greater heights.

“This victory at the presidential primaries is not just a personal triumph for Mr. President; it is a clear affirmation of his visionary leadership, unmatched political sagacity, and the overwhelming confidence of APC members in his unwavering commitment to the progress of Nigeria and his ability to continue steering the narion towards sustainable growth and prosperity.

“We are confident that President Tinubu will consolidate on his various policies and developmental strides poised to reposition our great nation, Nigeria. His Renewed Hope Agenda has continued to yield positive results across critical sectors – from economic reforms that have enhanced fiscal health and investor confidence to infrastructure projects that are connecting communities and creating opportunities. We are particularly excited by his deliberate inclusion of young Nigerians in governance, which gives us great hope for the future.”

The coalition expressed strong confidence that President Tinubu will build on his existing policies and developmental strides, which are already repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and prosperity. These include the bold removal of the long-standing fuel subsidy and unification of multiple foreign exchange rates, which have freed up resources for critical investments; record increases in non-oil revenue; consistent quarterly GDP growth; massive infrastructure development such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and other key road projects; the strengthening of the education and social investment sectors through initiatives like the NELFUND student loan scheme; and several other youth empowerment programmes.

The group also highlighted President Tinubu’s special interest in the betterment of Nigerian youths, demonstrated through the appointment of several young Nigerians into his cabinet and other key positions in government.

COSONYGA-2027 reiterated its commitment to mobilizing massive support for President Tinubu across the Southern region and the entire country as the 2027 presidential election approaches.
