COVID-19: Hushpuppi’s trial suspended

The trial of alleged fraudster, Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chambers orders of Judge Otis Wright released on September 23, revealed that the jury trial will continue by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021.

Hushpuppi had pleaded not guilty to the four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.

If convicted, the Instagram celebrity may spend the next 20 years in the U.S federal prison.
