The presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 presidential elections, Mr Peter Obi has told Nigerian that President Bola Tinubu has delivered on his campaign promises.

Obi disclosed this during an interview with Arise TV on Democracy Day. When asked by Arise TV presenter Charles Aniagolu to appraise Tinubu’s one year in office, he said:

“President Tinubu has performed exceptionally well in his first year in office. He has kept his campaign promises. In his words, “I will continue from where Buhari stopped,” and he has done so. Dollar was N460 is now N1,500, Fuel N238 is about 700, Diesel was 844 is now N1,415, A bag of rice 30/35 thousand is about 80 thousand.”

On his administration in Anambra State, Obi said:

“I didn’t promise Ndi Anambra Dubai-Taiwan. I promised education, heathcare and I delivered on all my campaign promises to Ndi Anambra. My elder brother Soludo should make Anambra Dubai-Taiwan, just like he promised.”
