Philanthropist and politician, Hon Francis Barthlomew Chima aka OmoBarca has distributed food items and cash worth millions of naira to his constituents in Ajeromi-Ifelodun federal constituency of Lagos State.
The event took place on March 1st, 2024 at 79 Mba Street, Oregie Ajegunle, Apapa through his Legit Foundation.
Over three thousand families benefited from his goodwill to receive palliatives to cushion the effect of the current economic hardship in the country.
Speaking during the event, OmoBarca who is a contestant for House of Representatives emphasized that the situation in Nigeria and compassion for the poor, moved him to give back to the society in order to reduce the pain of hardship.
He also appealed to Nigerians to give President Bola Tinubu more time to restructure the economy of Nigeria despite the excruciating poverty that is ravaging the country.
Bags of rice, cartons of noodles, bags of garri, gallons of groundnut oil etc were among the food items distributed during the giveaway event.
