Mazamaza ECAS FC on Saturday emerged champions of the 3rd edition of the Hon. Pascal Izuchukwu Nwankwo Football Tournament after a thrilling final played at the FHA Field, Festac Town, Lagos.

The keenly contested finale, held on December 6, 2025, pitted ECAS FC against a determined Festac Flying Sports side in a match that lived up to expectations. After an intense display of skill, discipline, and tactical football, ECAS FC edged their opponents to claim the tournament title, further cementing their growing reputation on the local football scene.

For their impressive performance, ECAS FC walked away with the coveted trophy and a cash prize of ₦750,000. Festac Flying Sports, who put up a spirited fight throughout the competition and in the final match, finished as runners up and received a cash reward of ₦500,000. Emaljius Football Club secured third place in the tournament and was awarded ₦250,000, rounding off the list of prize winners.

The annual football tournament, sponsored by Hon. Pascal Izuchukwu Nwankwo, has continued to grow in stature since its inception, serving as a platform for discovering grassroots football talent and promoting unity within the community. This year’s edition attracted a large turnout of football enthusiasts, community leaders, and youth supporters who thronged the FHA Field to witness the exciting finale.

Throughout the competition, participating teams demonstrated impressive levels of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, reflecting the depth of football talent within Festac Town and its surrounding communities. The final match in particular was marked by high tempo play, tactical discipline, and moments of individual brilliance that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
