Portable has taken to his Instagram story to air his mind about not receiving any Headies award days after the event.

The controversial singer reflected on what he sees as yet another industry slight.

In his words, “They no give us award, but God give us grace.”

He went on to reveal that he was actually invited to perform at the show but couldn’t attend because he was locked up for five days at the time. Sarcastically, he asked in Yorùbá: So if I had shown up to perform, I still wouldn’t have received any award?

He added, also in Yorùbá, that even though they didn’t give him an award, he’s been making money, just bought a new car, and feels truly blessed.
