A100-level computer science student of Veritas University Abuja identified as Joshua Èjuojo Daniel-Ejigbo has reportedly died while exercising at the campus gymnasium.
SaharaReporters gathered that the deceased was exercising when he started foaming in the mouth and subsequently slumped around 9 pm on Tuesday.
A source told SaharaReporters that the University called his father to inform him about the incident around 11 pm on Tuesday.
Dr. Sanni Bil-hissan who spoke on behalf of the University confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters on Wednesday.
However, a human rights lawyer, Mr Deji Adeyanju, who is representing the family told SaharaReporters that the parents of the deceased student suspect foul play and gross negligence.
“The parents of the deceased student suspect foul play and gross negligence,” he said.
