The Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Patrick Chiwuba Ndubueze, FNSE, has inaugurated the Divine Project 2027 Campaign Committee, charging its directors and members to take the record of his representation, legislative interventions and development initiatives to the grassroots ahead of the 2027 elections.
The inauguration took place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, following a strategic stakeholders’ engagement which commenced on Saturday, October 3, and brought together political leaders, community stakeholders, professionals, captains of industry and other influential personalities from across Imo North.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Ndubueze emphasised the need for effective communication between his office and the electorate, urging the newly inaugurated structure to ensure that the people are properly informed about the projects, programmes and interventions associated with his representation.
The Senator’s message centred on the responsibility of the Divine Project 2027 team to move beyond political mobilisation and engage communities directly by presenting the facts about his legislative activities, development interventions and human-capital initiatives.
Among the major development initiatives associated with his representation are the Federal University of Okigwe, interventions and advocacy on electricity infrastructure, including the Greater Okigwe Power Project, road infrastructure initiatives, the Ezinnachi mega grain-silo project, educational interventions, empowerment programmes and employment opportunities for constituents.
His legislative activities have also focused on issues relating to education, infrastructure, institutional development and other matters considered relevant to the development of Imo North and Nigeria at large.
Speaking during the meeting, several stakeholders acknowledged the Senator’s interventions, describing his efforts in facilitating projects across the Senatorial Zone as significant.
The stakeholders, however, urged the Senator to place greater emphasis on human development, empowerment, skills acquisition, employment and capacity building, stressing that the benefits of representation should increasingly translate into direct opportunities for the people.
They noted that although human-capital development had already featured among the Senator’s interventions, there was a need to expand such programmes and extend them to more beneficiaries across the six local government areas of Imo North.
Responding to the observations, Senator Ndubueze presented what he described as a blueprint for advancing human development in the zone, outlining proposed programmes and initiatives aimed at addressing some of the concerns raised by the stakeholders.
He assured the gathering of his commitment to pursuing the proposed human-development initiatives, thereby shifting the discussion from projects already facilitated to the next phase of empowerment and capacity building.
The engagement also provided an opportunity for the newly inaugurated directors of Divine Project 2027 to understand the responsibility placed before them.
The directors resolved to embark on sustained grassroots engagement across Imo North, with a mandate to communicate the Senator’s record to the electorate while also listening to the concerns, expectations and aspirations of the people.
They maintained that effective communication would be essential in ensuring that constituents are adequately informed about projects and interventions in their respective communities.
The gathering subsequently ended with a unanimous resolution by the participants to work collectively towards securing a landslide victory for the party and its candidates across all levels in the 2027 elections.
The stakeholders identified unity, coordination, grassroots mobilisation, effective communication and sustained stakeholder engagement as key components of the political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
