Sanwo Olu shuts down Lagos markets for 7 days

The Lagos state governor Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu has announced the shutdown of all open markets in lagos for the next seven days in a bid to further curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

This is contained in his broadcast and also a statement from his Twitter handle:

“Today, we are taking further measures and giving new directives and guidelines to stop the spread of #COVID19 in our state. All open markets and stores are to close for 7 days, except for sellers of food, medicines, medical equipment and other essential life-saving products.”

Sanwo Olu is easily recognized as the most active governor in Nigeria in the fight against COVID-19.
