The project, facilitated by Hon. Osonwa and executed by Mandsons Global Services Ltd., is expected to enhance road accessibility, ease traffic congestion, and promote economic development in the region.

During the event, His Royal Highness Eze Ukoha Kalu Ukoha (JP), the Paramount Ruler of Ebem Ohafia, emphasized the road’s significance, noting that it serves as the only route leading into Ebem Ancestral Village. He highlighted that the project would ease movement, especially during festive seasons, when traffic congestion is at its peak.

Speaking at the event, Chief Dr. Eme Iro Eme, Deputy Chairman of Ohafia Local Government, commended Hon. Osonwa for his commitment to infrastructural development. He assured the community of continued efforts to bring democratic dividends to the people of Ohafia.

Representing Hon. Osonwa at the event, Hon. Ukariwe Inyima Uduma reassured residents that more developmental projects would be executed across the Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency. He urged communities in both Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs to remain patient, as projects would be implemented in phases to ensure equitable distribution of resources.

Expressing the community’s appreciation, Hon. Chief Lochi Ngam, 1st Vice President General of the Ebem Ohafia Development Union (EODU), who represented Chief Emeka Mba, President General of EODU, pledged the community’s unwavering support for the project and lauded Hon. Osonwa for his vision in advancing the constituency.

In a personal message, Chief Emeka Mba (Atu-Igbo), President General of the Ebem Ohafia Development Union (EODU), extended his heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa for his tireless efforts in ensuring the commencement of the road construction.

“I will personally like to thank Honorable Ibe Okwara Osonwa (Oke-Aba Ohafia) on the official start of the construction of the 3KM Mgbaga Road. This special gratitude cannot be downsized because of the several meetings held in his residence and phone calls on the need to improve our infrastructural deficit. We celebrated this feat when it was captured in the 2024 budget, and I am glad that the financing has finally been approved with this flag-off.”

He further praised Hon. Osonwa’s dogged and resilient representation in the Green Chamber of the Nigerian Legislature, emphasizing his consistent support for the growth and development of the Ohafia/Arochukwu Federal Constituency.

“I have never fallen short in my support for him and his astute representation. He will continue to have my full backing. My prayer is for him to have the strength, health, and tenacity to see this project across the finish line. This is one of the many projects that will be availed to Ebem Ohafia within the shortest period of time, to ensure we are counted amongst the community of communities with enhanced infrastructure.”

Apologizing for his absence at the event due to personal and health-related engagements, Chief Mba reaffirmed his commitment to supporting infrastructural development in Ebem Ohafia.

“God bless Ebem Ohafia, God bless Abia State, and God bless Nigeria.”

The flag-off ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including: Hon. Ukariwe Inyima – Councilor representing Ebem Oha Ward in Ohafia Legislative Council, EODU Executives, Ebem Youth Leaders, Ebem Council of Chiefs and Elders, Party members, ward councillors, association leaders, and various support groups.

The Eze Ogo Ebem in Council, Ebem Ohafia Development Union (EODU), and the entire people of Ebem Ohafia Ancient Kingdom expressed their profound gratitude to Hon. Osonwa for this landmark project. They reaffirmed their support for his administration and looked forward to continued infrastructural transformation in the constituency.

The event showcased strong backing for Hon. Osonwa’s initiatives, reinforcing his commitment to the progress of Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency.
