Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima, popularly known as OmoBarca, has extended warm Father’s Day greetings to the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency, paying glowing tribute to fathers for their invaluable contributions to the growth of families and the development of society.

In a statement issued on the occasion of Father’s Day, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Representatives candidate for Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency described fathers as the backbone of every stable family, noting that their sacrifices, guidance, and commitment remain indispensable to nation-building.

OmoBarca said the celebration provides an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the dedication of fathers who work tirelessly to provide for their families despite prevailing economic challenges.

According to him, responsible fatherhood extends beyond financial provision to include moral leadership, mentorship, discipline, and the nurturing of children to become responsible citizens.

He urged fathers to continue serving as positive role models by instilling values of honesty, hard work, integrity, respect, and compassion in their children, stressing that strong families remain the foundation of peaceful and prosperous communities.

The philanthropist and community leader also acknowledged the efforts of single fathers, guardians, and other father figures who have embraced the responsibility of raising children and supporting families under difficult circumstances.

OmoBarca emphasized that the role of fathers is critical in addressing many of the social challenges confronting society, including youth restiveness, drug abuse, crime, and declining moral values. He noted that active parental involvement in the upbringing of children is essential to building a more secure and progressive Nigeria.

“As we celebrate Father’s Day, I salute every father and father figure across Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency for your unwavering love, sacrifice, resilience, and commitment to your families. Your dedication remains the pillar upon which strong homes and thriving communities are built,” he said.

He encouraged fathers not to relent in supporting the education and personal development of their children, adding that investing in the younger generation is the surest path to sustainable national development.

OmoBarca also called on government at all levels to implement policies that strengthen family welfare, create employment opportunities, improve access to quality education, and provide an enabling environment where parents can adequately cater for their households.

Reaffirming his commitment to the people of Ajeromi-Ifelodun, OmoBarca pledged to continue championing initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of families, empowering youths, supporting women, and expanding opportunities for sustainable economic growth across the constituency.

He noted that if elected to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027 on the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), he would pursue people-oriented legislation focused on education, healthcare, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and social welfare.

The NDC candidate further urged residents to remain united, peaceful, and hopeful, assuring them that together they could build a constituency that offers greater opportunities and a brighter future for all.

He concluded by wishing all fathers in Ajeromi-Ifelodun a joyful and memorable Father’s Day celebration, praying for God’s continued protection, good health, wisdom, and strength as they continue to discharge their responsibilities to their families and society.
