The Ohafia Improvement Union has officially announced the date for her general election, which is set to hold on Sunday December 28, 2025.
The official date was released in a communiqué jointly signed by the forum of branch Presidents and President General of Ohafia Village Unions and made available to Trustbase News.
The release also expects all eligible members, home and abroad to participate in the election as delegates properly authenticated by the Union branches and Village President Generals will be allowed to participate in the election.
The forum however warned the general public, Ohafia Sons and Daughters to ignore the misinformation parading alternative date other than 28 December 2025 as agents of distraction who do not mean well and for peace, progress, unity and credible process in the affairs of OIU and Ohafia in general.
” Ignore any misinformation suggesting alternative dates. The forum is committed to a transparent and credible process with observers from all branches, villages and a verified voter’s register.
“We call on peace, unity and support for electoral timetable as we move forward a stronger, united Ohafia.
“December 28- our day of constitutional rebirth. Come out and vote” the statement concludes.
