NYSC member raises alarm over troubling behaviour and alleged misconduct in school where she’s serving

A female corps member has shared a disturbing account of what she says is happening in the secondary school where she is currently serving — and her revelation is sparking serious concern.

According to her, students as young as 12, 13 and 14 are involved in worrying activities that no child their age should even understand, let alone normalize.

She said what shocked her even more is how casually some of the students, including boys, talk about things that should never be part of a child’s life. To them, it all appears “normal.”

But the most troubling part of her account is the allegation that some teachers and school authorities are enabling the behaviour instead of setting boundaries. She claims she has heard comments suggesting that certain staff members look the other way — or worse, contribute to the problem.

The corps member, clearly heartbroken, questioned how society got to the point where children are exposed to such damaging influences so early.

She said that at age 12, her biggest worry was Christmas clothes — not any of the things she is hearing from students today.

Now she’s desperately searching for a way to make a positive impact but admits she feels overwhelmed and unsure where to even begin.
