Nollywood has been plunged into mourning as veteran actress Stella Ikwuegbu passed away on Sunday.
A cloud of sorrow has therefore enveloped the Nigerian film industry as fellow actors, filmmakers, and fans grapple with the devastating news and reflect on Ikwuegbuโs immense contributions to Nollywood over the years.
Movie producer Stanley Nwoko, also known as Stanley Ontop, announced on his Instagram page that the veteran actress has passed away.
According to his post, she died on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
He said, โPopular Nollywood actress/veteran Mrs stella ikwuegbu is dead.
โThe veteran Actress left this world today after battling with Leg cancer. Rest well madam Stella.
