NAFDAC shuts illegal cosmetics factory in Lagos

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has shut down an illegal factory producing counterfeit cosmetic products at Benue Plaza, Trade Fair Complex in Lagos State.

This is contained in a post made by the agency on its X account on Tuesday, where it displayed pictures and footage of the seized products.

“NAFDAC has shut down an illegal factory producing counterfeit cosmetic products at Benue Plaza, Trade Fair Complex in Lagos State,” the post reads. 

A NAFDAC official who spoke in the video said they stormed the plaza based on credible information that they were producing counterfeit cosmetic products.
