As Ghanaians continue to grapple with spike in property rentage, the country’s Acting Rent Commissioner, Frederick Opoku, says according to the rent laws in the West African country, no landlord has the right to sit at will to charge whatever he or she wants to charge as rent unless it has been approved by the Rent Control Department,

He said this has not been enforced because most landlords in the country are ignorant of the law.
