According to him, the affected officers; three from the High Court and one from the Sharia Court of Appeal were asked to leave the service after failing promotion exams three consecutive times while on the same rank.

“The commission resolved and advised them to leave the service in accordance with Order 8, Rule (4)(f) of the commission’s Regulation 2025,” Usman said.

He further revealed that the commission has constituted a four-man committee to investigate allegations of serious misconduct against one Mohammed Shaba, accused of circulating a disparaging video clip on social media against the Chief Judge of Niger State and the judiciary.

“The matter was reported by the Chief Registrar of the Sharia Court of Appeal. The commission deliberated on the report and, in line with Order 6(1)(c) of the Regulation 2025, set up a sub-committee to conduct further investigations. It is necessary to ensure the affected judicial staff is given fair hearing,” Usman added.
