Joi Nunieh: Hell Hath No Fury Than A Woman Sacked From Her Lucrative Appointment
Every discerning person knows that all the gibberish that the former Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Ms Joi Nunieh about Senator Akpabio were lies manufactured from the pit of hell.
The truth is that Joi Nunieh wants to bring down the Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio because she was relieved of her position because of acts of insubordination, perjury and certificate forgery.
She was asked several times if indeed she actually did the mandatory NYSC, at first she tried to dodge the question and then she could only mutter that she served in Kwara State. I had expected the interviewers to ask her where her Place of Primary Assignment was. Every Corps Member must have where he/she served.
But the letter from NYSC is very categorical that there is no record either in Kwara State or the National headquarters of the scheme to show that she served. And if because of this she was relieved of her appointment, why must she bring someone down.
It must be stated that Joi Nunieh was not the first female Acting Managing Director of the NDDC. Before her, there were Mrs Ibim Semenitari, Dr (Mrs) Christy Atako and Dr (Mrs)Akwagaga Enyia. These women left their positions in dignity and never sought to bring down the Commission because they are Honourable people. But not Joi Nunieh who has promised to bring down people because she lost her appointment.
But the larger picture is that powerful forces who had fleeced the Commission in the past are working hard to truncate the ongoing forensic audit of the interventionist agency. They have found a willing tool in Joi Nunieh. But the people of the Niger Delta region are determined that the forensic audit cannot be truncated no matter the malicious blackmail of the Honourable Minister.
