Late Chief Iwuanyawu’s final burial Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Diaspora convened an emergency meeting

As the final burial ceremony of late Chief Eng Emmanuel Iwuanyawu CFR Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo, approaches, the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Diaspora convened an emergency meeting to plan ways of honoring the legacy of the iconic Igbo leader and to discuss their level of participation during final burial ceremony scheduled to take place on November 1st, 2024, in Atta Ikeduru Imo State.

During the meeting, members of the Ohanaeze Diaspora expressed their heartfelt condolences to the Iwuanyawu’s family, friends and the entire Igbo Nation. They acknowledged Chief Iwuanyawu’s exemplary leadership, unwavering dedication, and visionary contributions to the Igbo nation. His remarkable ability to mobilize the Igbo community and his commitment to advancing the interests of the Igbo people both locally and internationally underscored his influential role as a great leader.

In recognition of his profound impact, the diaspora leaders unanimously agreed to send a distinguished delegation to represent the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Diaspora at the final burial ceremony. This delegation aims to pay homage to Chief Iwuanyawu’s legacy and support his family during this difficult time.

According to Lady Aqueen Ibeto the Ohanaeze Diaspora convener, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu was not just a leader; he was a beacon of hope and a strong advocate for unity within the Igbo community. His tireless efforts paved the way for socio-economic development and cultural preservation, ensuring that the values and traditions of the Igbo people remain vibrant for generations to come. A man of great integrity and vision, Chief Iwuanyawu cultivated a spirit of togetherness and cooperation among diverse groups, he has a tall dream for Ohanaeze Diaspora,

Highlighting the importance of collective progress over individual pursuits exemplified by Chief Iwuanyawu, Secretary of Ohanaeze Worldwide Diaspora Mazi Emenike Anigbogu recalled that Chief Iwuanyawu’s. foundational work in various organizations, particularly within Ohanaeze Ndigbo Diaspora, helped to articulate the aspirations of the Igbo people on both national and international platforms.

According to him Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu beyond his leadership contributions, was also deeply committed to philanthropy. He understood the struggles faced by his people and utilized his resources to make significant impacts in education, healthcare, and community development. His generosity knew no bounds, reaching countless lives across Nigeria and beyond. Many can attest to the direct benefits of his benevolent actions, and his legacy is one of service above self.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures within the Ohanaeze Ndigbo diaspora, including Lady Aqueen Ibeto, convener of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Diaspora and President of Ohanaeze UK and N/Ireland; Dr Ifeanyi Ogbonna President Ohanaeze North Carolina deputy convener, Mazi Innocent Obiegbu, President of Ohanaeze New York and Publicity Secretary Ohanaeze Diaspora; Mazi Emenike Anigbogu, President of Ohanaeze Boston New England Secretary of Ohanaeze Diaspora; Dr. Geoffrey Onyeukwu Treasurer Ohanaeze Diaspora; Chief Everest Ozonweke, Coordinator of Ohanaeze Southwest, HRM.EZE. DR. AMB. CHUKWUDI JUDE IHENETU.

His vision for the Igbo community will continue to resonate and inspire future generations, reminding us all of the importance of unity, strength, and perseverance in pursuing our shared goals.
