Financial coach and social commentator Gehgeh has advised popular Nigerian content creator and TikTok personality Peller against rushing into marriage with fellow influencer Jarvis, arguing that the young entertainer is not yet emotionally prepared for the responsibilities that come with married life.

Speaking during a podcast interview, Gehgeh shared his views on the couple’s relationship, stating that while financial success is important, it is not the sole ingredient required to build and sustain a successful marriage.

According to him, Peller’s age and limited life experience make him ill-equipped to handle the demands and complexities of marital responsibilities, regardless of his current financial status.

“I feel like they’re too young, especially the boy. He’s too young for marriage responsibility,” Gehgeh said during the discussion.

The financial coach revealed that he has repeatedly cautioned Peller against making what he considers a premature decision to get married, explaining that he has consistently advised the content creator to take more time before making such a lifelong commitment.

Recalling one of his conversations with Peller, Gehgeh said he had urged him to focus on personal growth and maturity before considering marriage.

“Bro, this thing you’re doing never reach this level. You are too young for the responsibility where you want carry,” he said he told the TikTok star.

Gehgeh argued that many people mistakenly assume financial prosperity automatically qualifies an individual for marriage and leadership within a relationship.

According to him, wealth alone cannot guarantee a stable or successful union because emotional intelligence, wisdom, maturity and experience play much greater roles in sustaining a healthy partnership.

He maintained that numerous wealthy individuals have struggled in their relationships despite possessing significant financial resources, insisting that money should not be mistaken for emotional preparedness.

“People say, ‘Ah, but he has money now.’ But money is not enough to lead a woman. You will see even billionaires being manipulated by women. It is wisdom and experience that lead a woman, not money,” he stated.

Gehgeh stressed that financial capacity should be viewed as only one aspect of marriage readiness, noting that successful relationships require sound judgment, emotional stability, effective communication and life experience.

When asked whether he would express the same opinions directly to Peller rather than only discussing them publicly, Gehgeh said he already does so because the two share a close relationship.

He disclosed that he and the TikTok influencer frequently communicate and have collaborated on several live-streaming sessions, making it easy for him to offer personal advice whenever necessary.

“That’s what I always do. I advise him all the time. We always talk. He’s my friend and we do live streams together,” he said.

Beyond concerns about Peller’s age, Gehgeh suggested that the influencer’s emotional attachment to Jarvis may be affecting his ability to make objective decisions about marriage.

According to him, people who are deeply in love often struggle to evaluate relationships rationally, making them more vulnerable to emotional decisions.

He claimed that Peller appears to be more emotionally invested in the relationship than Jarvis, an imbalance he believes could create challenges in the future.

“Person where dey in love, na woman dey lead am. Na Peller love Jarvis. Jarvis no love Peller. The girl choose am,” he said.

Although his comments reflect his personal opinion, the remarks have generated widespread reactions on social media, with many users debating his assessment of the couple’s relationship.

Some social media users agreed with Gehgeh’s argument that emotional maturity and life experience are just as important as financial success when entering marriage. Others, however, disagreed with his conclusions, arguing that outsiders cannot accurately determine the strength or dynamics of another person’s relationship.

The discussion also turned to Gehgeh’s assertion that love can cloud judgment.

“Love is blind, and a blind person cannot lead,” he remarked during the interview.

When the podcast host sought clarification on whether he was suggesting that Peller was “blind” because he is in love, Gehgeh responded in the affirmative.

“Yes, because he is in love,” he replied.

His comments have since sparked mixed reactions across various social media platforms, where fans and followers of both Peller and Jarvis have continued to express differing opinions on whether the couple should proceed with marriage at this stage of their lives.

While some supporters believe the pair should be free to make their own decisions irrespective of age or public opinion, others contend that Gehgeh’s remarks highlight broader issues surrounding emotional maturity, financial stability and readiness for marriage.

Neither Peller nor Jarvis has publicly responded to Gehgeh’s comments as discussions surrounding their relationship continue to trend online. The debate has also reignited conversations about the role of age, financial independence and emotional preparedness in determining when individuals are truly ready to take on the lifelong commitment of marriage.
