Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted an Ambassador (names withheld) at Zone E Extension Apo Resettlement Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday.
At about 2.am in the morning, the gun welding men invaded the residence of the diplomat who lives at the foot of the mountain area of Zone E Extension and whisked him away.
A source told DailyBlastNG that the men numbering over 10 came in through the mountain and also left with their victim via the same route.
The estate security could not do much to salvage the situation. However, they called in a team of policemen who arrived after the kidnappers have left.
Police patrol vehicles were seen in the estate till daybreak. The kidnappers are yet to contact the family of the diplomat.
