Eyewitnesses said the gunmen came in large number and after causing confusion in the area, they kidnapped 18 people.

It was gathered that the police are presently in the area.

There is, however, no official confirmation from the authorities.

Bandits have been ravaging Kaduna also in a string of attacks on the North-West states particularly.

Only in August, Samuel Aruwan, the state commissioner for internal security and home affairs, confirmed some of the affected communities to include Ungwan Magaji, Kigam, Kisicho, and Kikoba villages.

Aruwan had identified some of the victims killed by bandits as Joseph Maza, Timvan Cibi Ciwo, Monday Titus, Asabe Magani, Laraba Danladi, and Yosi Danladi.
