Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa to Anambra State APC: “Get A Good Candidate Like Me.”
The Governor-Elect of Ondo State, Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa has encouraged Anambra State members of APC to present a good candidate for the party in order to ensure the victory of the party in the coming November 8, 2025, Anambra State governorship election.
The elated governor who secured overwhelming victory in the yesterday’s polls, stated this when a member of the APC National Election Campaign Council for the Ondo State governorship election and the National Coordinator of IKEMBA FRONT, Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu met with him shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had successfully transmitted results from 3,875 out of 3,933 polling units where the elections were held in the state.
Gov. Aiyedatiwa was quoted to have said to the hearing of those in the exclusive room including the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Philip Shaibu, that; “Anambra State APC should present a good candidate like myself and APC will win Anambra State. We will win in Anambra State.” Sir Awogu had while congratulating the governor informed him that Anambra state was next. “Having successfully prosecuted the Edo State and now the Ondo State goveenorship elections, Anambra State election is next and Anambra will take a cue from the success of the Ondo State election,” Sir Awogu said.
With the successful completion of the Ondo State governorship election, all attention will now be shifted to Anambra State where the ruling APC hopes to further add to the growing number of the states under its control.
Anambra State governorship election comes up in 12 months time and it is the last remaining off season election before the 2027 general elections.
