Mrs Adeleke wrote:

“I attended the 12th and 13th convocation ceremonies for the award of higher degrees at Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria. During this event, I had the pleasure of meeting the richest woman in Africa, a Nigerian businesswoman, renowned philanthropist, and Chancellor of the University, Apostle (Dr) Folorunsho Alakija.

I would like to commend the executive governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for providing the necessary funding to complete the abandoned office building in Isale Osun, which has now been commissioned for use.

Congratulations to all the graduates for their hard work and academic achievements. I would also like to express my appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, for his dedication towards the development and transformation of the University into a top-ranking institution.

I would like to acknowledge the presence of the deputy governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, the Honourable Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Wale Egbedun, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Wale Oladipo and other principal officers of the university. I thank the wives of the Honourable Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Princess Monsurat Egbedun and Mrs. Oyewusi, Professor Adejumoke Aderemi-Adelowo as well as other distinguished individuals in attendance.
