#EndSARS: Stephanie Busari’s Lekki Tollgate investigation for CNN nominated for Emmy awards

The Lekki Tollgate gate massacre investigation that was conducted by CNN’s correspondent, Stephanie Busari has been nominated for two Emmy awards.

Stephanie who serves as CNN Supervising Editor took to twitter and Instagram to announce the nomination.

“Thrilled that our Lekki Tollgate investigation has been nominated for two #Emmy awards. A huge honour for an important body of work that shed light on the terrible events of October 20, 2020. Well done @katie_polglase @GianlucaMezzo @nimaelbagir @ArvanitidisCNN & others.” She posted on her Twitter handle.

It will be recalled that Nigerian soldiers shot at protesters during the #EndSARS protest on 20th October, 2020.

The incident has since been denied by the government of Muhammadu Buhari.
