The Peoples Democratic Party House of Representatives candidate in the 2023 general elections for Ajeromi Ifelodun constituency, Hon Francis Barthlomew Chima has felicitated Muslim brothers and sisters in the area on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
Eid-El-Kabir is a major festival recognized in Islam and celebrated the day after the Muslim pilgrims to Makkah across the globe performed the most important hajj rite- staying on the mountain of Arafat. It is the Feast of Sacrifice and the second and the largest of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam. It honours the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice one of his sons, either Ishmael or Isaac, as an act of obedience to God’s command.
In his usual generosity and annual tradition, OmoBarca aka Omoluabi of Ajegunle presented three cows and about 30 rams to the Muslim community in Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA in commemoration of the Eid El Kabir festival.
According to his Media Aide, Obinna Francis Solace, the festival proper will be celebrated tomorrow Wednesday the 28th day of June 2023 as the federal government has announced a two day public holiday to mark the Islamic rites.
In his prayers; OmoBarca thanked God for making this years event a huge success. He also thanked God for the lives of the Muslim community of Ajeromi Ifelodun constituency and prayed that God will continue to bless and provide for them all the days of their lives.
