The Ebonyi State chapter of People’s Democratic Party has raised alarm over the massive cash withdrawal by the state governor, Dave Umahi from the state treasury.
The party through its lawyers has petitioned the Ecoconomic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to act swiftly on the withdrawal of N6.7 billion naira belonging to the state by the governor and his deputy who were recently sacked by the Federal High Court in Abuja for defecting to APC.
In the petition dated 22nd March, 2022, Dynamic Option Chambers who represents PDP Ebonyi State alleged that upon the removal of Dave Umahi by the court, he commenced the massive looting of the properties and finances of Ebonyi State.
The law firmed urged EFCC to as a matter of urgency use its office to stop Dave Umahi from plundering the state.
