Davido’s dad breaks silence, says 0.00% DNA test result clears son of paternity claims

The renewed paternity controversy involving Afrobeats star Davido and a young girl identified as Anu has again drawn national attention, following a recent social media appeal by the teenager asking the singer to submit to another DNA test.
The latest development comes on the heels of an earlier report by ARISE NEWS in which Davido firmly rejected the fresh request, stating that he had already undergone five DNA tests over the years, all of which returned negative results.

According to the Afrobeats star, three tests were arranged by him, while two were conducted at facilities chosen by the other party, with all confirming he is not the biological father.
Behind that public response lies a longer and more complex history, now detailed by Davido’s father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, who provided a comprehensive account of how the matter began and how it has been handled for over a decade.

The buusiness mogul speaking to the press at his Lagos residence on Wednesday, explained that the issue first emerged in 2014 when he received a formal letter alleging that Davido had impregnated a woman and abandoned the child. He said he immediately intervened as head of the family and initiated a DNA testing process without prejudice. Samples were taken from Davido, his cousin Bayo Adeleke, popularly known as B Red, and the child at a reputable hospital, with analysis conducted abroad to ensure credibility.

The results of the first test he said, showed a 0.00% probability of paternity. Despite this, Dr. Adeleke said he did not dismiss the matter outright and offered to conduct additional confirmatory tests at his own expense, including covering accommodation and logistics for the child’s family in Lagos. However, the follow-up tests were not completed after the initial findings.
Over the years, the issue resurfaced intermittently on social media, often accompanied by renewed allegations and emotional appeals. According to Dr. Adeleke, the cycle intensified recently when Anu made a public plea online, prompting Davido’s response that reignited the debate.

Addressing the latest claims, Dr. Adeleke revealed that the child’s aunt, based in Abuja, contacted him directly to clarify that neither she nor the child’s mother was responsible for the circulating social media posts. He said the aunt alleged that the accounts pushing the narrative were impersonated and that the family had severed ties with those behind them.

Dr. Adeleke stated that he possesses documented message exchanges with the aunt supporting this claim and further alleged that Kemi Olunloyo was responsible for impersonating the pages used to circulate the renewed allegations.

He added that he also has documentary evidence of all DNA tests conducted over the years, including those referenced by Davido, all confirming a 0.00% probability of paternity.

Dr. Adeleke stressed that the family’s actions were guided by responsibility, transparency and reliance on verifiable evidence, noting that if science had proven Davido to be the father, the child would have been accepted without hesitation.

He concluded by warning that continued circulation of what he described as false claims, impersonation and misinformation could attract legal action, as the family seeks final closure on a matter he said has already been conclusively settled by science.
