In a statement on Wednesday, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga said the two leaders “are fully engaged with the nation’s affairs, even while they are away” and there is no vacuum in governance.

While a number of states have pledged to meet the N70,000 minimum wage, others have gone further, committing to pay amounts higher than the federal mandate.

He noted that the powers under which EFCC was established go beyond the powers of the National Assembly, adding that many states have finally taken it upon themselves to challenge the constitutionality of the EFCC.
