Buhari locks down Lagos, Ogun and Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria this evening addressed the nation in a live broadcast. In the 19 minutes broadcast, Buhari assured Nigerians of his commitment to contain the coronavirus pandemic and that all government agencies and parastatals are working hard to put the virus under control. He thanked all the medical personnel who are in the forefront of combating the deadly virus.Buhari who appeared healthy and in good spirits announced the lockdown of Lagos and Ogun states including Abuja for two weeks starting from 11 pm on Monday, the 29th of March 2020. Persons on essential duties especially health workers are exempted.
