A military coup has taken place in Guinea Conakry in the west African region.
A special forces commander announced the coup stating that the constitution has been suspended while president Alpha Conde has been detained.
There was also heavy gunshots by soldiers around the presidential palace on sunday afternoon.
Soldiers are also seen parading the streets of Conakry and ordering citizens to remain indoors.
