At about 3am Saturday morning, armed robbers invaded the residence of a retired NNPC staff in Downhill Estate located at Zone E Extension, Apo Resettlement, Abuja.
The armed robbers, who were about six in number gained entrance through the kitchen burglary of the mansion.
They went straight to madam’s bedroom and robbed her of gold jewelries, clothes, phones etc.
They also ordered her son in his bedroom to lie down. They took away his laptop, phones, powerbank, LED television, Persin rug etc.
Confirming the incident, the young man said:
“The entire household slept at about about 1 am. The robbers came in through the kitchen they robbed my mum in her room. They didn’t get to my daddy’s room. They came into my room and robbed me. The most painful part is that they took my laptop with my Master’s degree project. I also saw them eating the food I left on the table after which they drank water from my refridgerator. Thank God they did not hurt anybody though they were armed.”
The robbers scaled the fence which had double security wires and left with their loot.
The estate security said a group of men were spotted with television set and other household items very early on Saturday morning.
