Breaking: Anambra governorship election declared inconclusive by INEC, supplementary election scheduled for Ihiala LGA

The Independent National Electoral Commision (INEC) has declared that no election was held in Ihiala local governemt area of Anambra State due to security reasons.

Professor Florence Obi, the Vice Chancellor of University of Calabar and the Chief Returning Officer of Anambra State declined to annouce a winner for the governorship election until a supplementary election is held in Ihiala LGA on Tuesday the 9th of November, 2021.

She therefore declared the Anambra governorship election inconclusive and further collation of results suspended.

Below are the results collated so far:

APC: 42942

APGA: 103946

PDP: 51322

YPP: 20917

The candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, Professor Charles Soludo is leading with 103946 votes have won in 18 local government areas of the state.
