Abba made the pledge on Friday during a visit to the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, where he expressed support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
He was received by the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Bukar Dalori, according to a statement issued by Yusi Buba, the party’s Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation to the deputy national chairman.
Buba said Abba commended the APC leadership and the Tinubu administration, expressing confidence in the President’s continued leadership beyond 2027.
“In a demonstration of his commitment to the political engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections, Hon. Abba Atiku Abubakar announced the donation of ten buses to support activities aimed at mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027,” the statement said.
The APC aide added that Dalori welcomed Abba and acknowledged the pledge as a contribution to the party’s mobilisation activities ahead of the next general elections.
The development comes amid Abba’s renewed efforts to organise nationwide support for Tinubu’s re-election through the establishment of the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation, a political support platform unveiled in Abuja on Friday.
Speaking at a press conference, Abba announced that the organisation would commence its activities in the Federal Capital Territory before expanding its operations to other parts of the country.
He also disclosed plans to organise a two-million-man mobilisation march across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, with Abuja expected to host the initial exercise.
The organisation is expected to serve as a platform for coordinating support for Tinubu’s second-term bid and strengthening grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
Abba had earlier defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in January, declaring his support for Tinubu’s re-election ambition.
His political decision has attracted attention because his father, Atiku Abubakar, is the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 general elections and is expected to challenge Tinubu at the polls.
The contrasting political positions of father and son have become a notable development in the emerging political alignments ahead of the elections.
However, Abba’s support for Tinubu represents his personal political choice, separate from his father’s presidential ambition.
With the unveiling of the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation, the planned nationwide mobilisation march and the pledge of 10 buses, Abba is positioning the group as part of efforts to build support for the President’s re-election campaign.
