The Nigerian police have summoned 11 officers for allegedly violating the Force’s social media policy.
This was revealed in a police wireless message dated February 19, 2025, issued by the Force Public Relations Department.
The memo cited repeated violations of the social media policy as the reason for the summons by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
It was addressed to the Assistant Inspector General of Police Mobile Police Force and the Commissioners of Police in Makurdi, Benue State, and Ilorin, Kwara State.
The officers have been ordered to report to the office of the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, at 8 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Those summoned for questioning are the Provost Marshal 70 PMF, PC Bala; Provost Presscort, CPL Umar Yarima; SUPOL Apa Division Makurdi, CPL Ruth Agada; CSP ‘A’ Ilorin, CPL Lami Ayuba; CSP Admin DOPS Owerri, PPC Ogar Melvis; and PC Precious ะkpah.
