A chieftaincy title will be conferred on High Chief Sir PMC Okeke, philanthropist and founder of Ave Football Club International by His Royal Highness Eze Rev. Jude Uwalaka, the traditional ruler of Umuihi Ancient Kingdom, Ihitte Uboma, Imo State.
The event for the conferment of the title, Ogbuhere Uzo 1 of Umuihi Kingdom will take place at the royal palace in Umuihi on 28th of December, 2023 while reception will be held at country home of PMC Okeke.
According to a press release from the palace, the conferrement of the title, Ogbuhere Uzo (He who makes a way for others) on Okeke is in recognition of his illustrous contributions to the growth and development of his community.
Indeed, Okeke has opened the door to progress for many indigenes of Umuihi community by actively engaging the youths in laudable programs such as sports development, culture/ tradition rebranded, human capital development and establishment a newspaper that has provided employment.
He has offered scholarship to students in Ihitte Uboma and also reconstructed his kindred unit town hall. PMC Okeke was recently given an award by the Catholic Bishop of Okigwe Diocese for his contribution to the development of the church in Okigwe zone.
Through his Ave Football Club International alot of Ihitte Uboma youths have been discovered and sent to Europe to join Football Clubs.
