The Police Command in Bauchi State has arrested a 59-year-old man for raping his neighbour’s 18-month-old baby.
Spokesman of the command, SP Ahmed Wakil, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Saturday, August 13, said the suspect was arrested after mother of the baby, Nenkat Danladi, reported the rape case to Yelwa police station.
“On 09/08/2022 at about 1900hrs, one Nenkat Danladi โfโ aged 31yrs of Yelwan Kagadama lodged a complaint in Yelwa police station that on 06/08/2022 at about 1130hrs she met one Alhamdu Yusuf โmโ aged 59yrs of same address on her bed with her daughter one Blessing (not real name) โfโ aged 1ยฝyrs of the same address,” the statement read.
