A student of Mount Saint Charles Academy, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, United States,  is facing a s3xual assault charge after an underage female student accused him of cornering her outside a locker room and touching her inappropriately.

Oluwasegun Sanni, 19, appeared in court Monday morning after being arrested on March 17, 2026.

He was charged with second-degree s3xual assault.

NBC 10 News obtained the police report which detailed an interview the female student, whose identity is being withheld because she is a minor, gave to Woonsocket police.

A female student told police that Sanni “pushed her against the wall where she was and began to cry.”

“She said he started to grab her neck and tried to kiss her before he “shoved his hand up her skirt, around her underwear and grabbed her.”

Sanni was ordered no contact with the student, even though they go to the same school.

“If that person’s walking down a corridor and you’re walking in the opposite direction, you don’t look in that direction, you don’t do any hand signals in that direction, you don’t say anything to that person,” the judge said at Oluwasegun’s arraignment.

“You maybe don’t even want to say something about that person to the person that you’re with. Just ignore it.”

Parents and students told NBC 10 News at dismissal that the school notified families about an incident and urged students not to gossip or spread rumors.

In a statement, a school told NBC 10 News: “Mount Saint Charles Academy is aware of a serious allegation involving two students. We take all reports of this nature very seriously and respond promptly to ensure student safety. The matter has been reported to the appropriate authorities, and we are cooperating fully. The school is committed to a process that is thorough, fair, and impartial, and that respects the rights and dignity of all involved. Out of respect for student privacy and the integrity of the process, we will not be sharing additional details.”

Sanni was released on personal recognizance.
