The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio has inadvertently announced during plenary that monies were sent to the bank accounts of senators by the clerk for the purpose of enjoying their holidays.

His colleagues were visibly not happy with the disclosure and asked him to withdraw the statement. Akpabio quickly withdrew the statement and replaced it with “prayers sent to mailboxes”
