Hausa-Fulani commercial motorcyclists popularly known as okada have clashed with Igbo traders in the Dei Dei area of the Federal Capital Territory over the death of an Igbo woman.

Eye witnesses report that the commercial motorcyclists and building materials dealers in the area aengaged in a fight that left many shops burnt to ashes. The fracas started when a commercial motorcyclist knocked down a woman who died on the spot.

He said building materials dealers nabbed the motorcyclist who later called his colleagues to rescue him. A fight ensued between the motor cyclists who are mostly Hausa-Fulani and the Igbo traders. Properties worth billions of naira was lost in the mayhem.
