A lecturer in Imo State University, Dr. Desmond Izunwanne of the department of Medical Laboratory has been spotted in a viral video assaulting one of his students.
While inquiring why the student came to class in “mufti”, the lecturer slapped her repeatedly even after the student explained that she came to class from the hospital.
The lecturer queried the student in the video, saying:
“What’s your reason? Which hospital? Everybody is coming from hospital. What is your reason for being on mufti? Oya kneel down.”
The incident has been condemned by Nigerians.
