U19 Football Tournament: Ave FC qualifies for second round (Photos)

Ave International football club Isinweke has defeated Golden Albion FC of Warri by 1 nil in the ongoing Under 19 Nlo/Ikukuoma Foundation Super League Football Tournament.

With this victory, the beloved team of Ihitte/Uboma people in Imo State have qualified for the next round of the competition with 4 points and top of the group.

The event holding at the International Stadium Uboma Secondary School constructed by former Minister of State for Education, Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba, is powered by Chief Sir PMC Okeke who is also the CEO of Ave Football Club Isinweke.

Commenting on the successful outing of the game, Chief Cheta Ojukwu wrote:

“God bless you real good for anchoring such a successful tournament, it just kicked off but already a success for our LGA. I went to Isinweke this evening, it was wow! Everywhere was bubling, I almost thought I dey Lagos. I tell u!”

Okeke has expressed gratitude to football lovers in Imo State for turning up to witness the maiden edition of the tournament.

He wrote:

“Thanks my people for the support. It was our first Match, though opportunity was wasted as we failed to pick the 3 points. We believe, the team will get better. Thanks for being there for us. Much appreciated for all the numerous donations, prayers and support. God bless you all.”

Budding football talents are expected to be discovered by the end of the tournament.
