The President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Solomon Adodo, has said that the forthcoming Nigerianization Summit will provide a national platform to redefine Nigeria’s image, protect local industries, and empower young people as custodians of the Nigerian dream.
Highlighting the importance of the event, Adodo explained that the summit will also feature the Nigerianization Awards, designed to honor individuals, institutions, and brands that have championed Nigerian values, promoted indigenous capacity, and inspired national pride.
Adodo disclosed this in Abuja during a press briefing to announce the summit, scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2025, in Abuja, he noted that the summit will serve as Nigeria’s annual rallying point for sustainable growth, aligning patriotism with enterprise and nation-building.
The event, themed “Local Content, Global Impact – The Nigerian Way”, is being organized by the NYCN in collaboration with government ministries, agencies, and the private sector.
Adodo further noted that the initiative is aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Nigerian-First Policy, which emphasizes dignifying the brand called Nigeria through local content, youth inclusion, and national pride.
He said: “The Nigerianization Awards; honouring outstanding individuals, institutions, and brands that have championed Nigerian values, promoted indigenous capacity, and inspired national pride.
“The Nigerianization Summit provides a national platform to redefine Nigeria’s image, protect local industry and empower the youth as custodians of the Nigerian dream.
“The Nigerianization Summit will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, youth entrepreneurs, innovators, and creatives to chart a path for strengthening Nigeria’s identity and global competitiveness.”
Also speaking, the President of Ice Communication Incorporated and Co-Chairman of the Central Organising Committee, Dr. Otu Dondaniels, described the summit as Nigeria’s foremost platform for championing local content and homegrown innovation.
He explained that the summit will serve as Nigeria’s annual rallying point for sustainable growth, aligning patriotism with enterprise and nation-building.
