*EXTREMELY NAUSEATING.., IT WAS A POLITICAL STUNT IN NNEATO: A DISRESPECTFUL SPECTACLE MASQUERADING AS LOYALTY TO GOVERNOR ALEX CHIOMA OTTI (OFR)*
The attention of well-meaning stakeholders in Abia State has been drawn to a recently shocking politically choreographed gathering in Nneato Zone 3, Umunneochi Local Government Area, disguised as a “grassroots show of support” for His Excellency, *Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR),* Executive Governor of Abia State.
Let it be stated without equivocation: the event, led by the so-called Mayor of Umunneochi, *Chief Sunny Afurobi*, was not an endorsement of the Governor’s legacy. It was a *carefully masked, self-serving parade of political desperation*. A hollow stage play. A gathering of characters clinging to relevance through feigned spectacle and sycophancy.
*INSULT TO THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE: CASUAL, CALLOUS, AND POLITICALLY INCOMPETENT*
It is nothing short of appalling that the Governor of Abia State—*a nationally and globally respected reformer and eminent leader* – was repeatedly mentioned in public communication *without the full dignity of his person and office*.
At no point was he properly addressed as *“His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR), Executive Governor of Abia State.* Instead, the Mayor adopted a *casual and tactless tone*, referring to him merely as “Governor Alex Otti,” thereby trivialising the office from which the Mayor himself derives legitimacy.
This is not a matter of semantics—it is *a matter of protocol, political maturity, and respect*. To fail in this regard is to signal not loyalty but concealed contempt dressed in praise.
*AN EMBARRASSING ROLL CALL OF TITLES AND EMPTY POSTURING*
The so-called mobilisation reads like a desperate inventory of political titles: a list of names, positions, and vague affiliations. No mention of policy alignment. No mention of contributions to Abia’s development. No coherent agenda.
The people were not mobilised—they were *manipulated and confused*. And the event produced nothing but noise, party scarves, and political selfies.
This is not how progress is measured in the *new Abia*. It is how *the past tries to repackage itself in the face of an awakened citizenry.* What a mess!
*THE GOVERNOR’S STRUCTURE IS IN PLACE—AND MOVING FULL SPEED AHEAD*
Every *rational*, *wise*, and *right-thinking* son and daughter of Umunneochi, Abia, and Nigeria knows that on *Saturday, 5th April 2025*, the Governor of Abia State, *His Excellency Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR),* reinvigorated and inaugurated his *official political structure, Abia Arise, across all 17 Local Government Areas of the state.*
In that landmark event, the Governor appointed trusted and formidable LG Executives whose mandate is to drive the visible, measurable transformation taking place under his watch—*into 2027 and beyond.*
Speaking at the inauguration, the Governor charged the newly appointed leaders “to strengthen the structure across the 17 LGAs” and expressed *unshakable confidence in their capacity to do just that.*
This is what genuine political leadership looks like—*not a backdoor event of confusionists and deflectors peddling loyalty while undermining progress.*
*A DISTRACTION FROM SERIOUS GOVERNANCE: WHEN POLITICAL IRRITANTS GATHER*
It is, therefore, deeply unfortunate—and revealing—that a group of political irritants and ingrates would have the shameless audacity to stage *counter-campaigns*, choreographed to coincide with and *distract from His Excellency’s structured and strategic mobilisation of Abia Arise.*
The timing is not accidental. The agenda is not hidden. It is a campaign of confusion designed to feed egos, not empower citizens.
*A CHILDISH SPECTACLE: CHASING A TRAIN THAT HAS LEFT THE STATION*
With the Abia Arise structure firmly established, widely known, and forging ahead with purpose, this empty show of shame in Nneato is no different from what a child might do: *“Running after a train after it has left the station, or chasing an aeroplane in the sky, hoping to catch it.”*
This is the level of political unseriousness Umunneochi must now reject.

Chief Sunny Afurobi and his cohorts may currently occupy public office. But public office without protocol is an embarrassment; and political access without humility is a *slow-motion betrayal of leadership.*

This administration has no time for *performative praise*. It is built on *results,* *structure*, and *vision*.
