Senator Kashim Shettima, vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says in 2023, the country needs a president that has qualities that will promote progress.

Speaking on Thursday at the 96th anniversary celebration of the Yoruba Tennis Club in Ikoyi, Lagos state, Shettima said Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the APC, is the only candidate that has the qualities that the country needs.

The vice-presidential candidate said Tinubu has a dose of hospitality that the late Sani Abacha, a former military ruler, had and the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to get things done.

“We are convinced that the general political situation in Nigeria needs the competencies of a detribalised and committed Nigerian like Tinubu to re-ignite the requisite values that can help us rededicate ourselves and all Nigerians to collectively tackle the challenges of national cohesion,” NAN quoted him as saying.
