Police return N1million extorted from corps members

Lagos Police officers attached to the Area C command, who were accused of extorting over N1 million from National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, have refunded the money. 

The update was given by X user, Oluyemi Fasipe, who initially reported the incident.

He expressed gratitude for the swift response of Lagos Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin and the Lagos State NYSC officials in ensuring that justice was served. However, he also noted that they are still awaiting the outcome of the officers’ trial, urging the public to remain vigilant as the case progresses.
