The Nigerian Police Force on Monday dispersed scores of protesters mobilized by former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello to stage a demonstration against the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The protesters were seen in a video running helter-skelter from police arrest in Abuja, the country’s capital city.

The protesters were said to have gathered at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja, telling the commission to obey a subsisting court order which prevented any further arrest of the former Kogi governor.

The American International School in Abuja said it had returned the advance payment of $760,000 for school fees by Yahaya Bello for his children in the school.

The school had said that it had nothing to hide in the matter and has been cooperating with the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to address the matter as part of its respect for the national institutions in the country.

The school had disclosed this on Saturday in a statement issued by the Head of School, Greg Hughes adding that it had returned the fees to the EFCC.

The statement admitted that the school accepted an advance payment for school fees and was duly documented in their records and had since returned the money to the EFCC in compliance with a request to carry out investigations.
