The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have gathered around the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, to protest against the prolonged strike action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The students gathered on Monday amid heavy security presence.

They are seen dancing around as they sing solidarity songs.

NANS said its decision to ground airports activities was due to the successes recorded in its road protest during which several highways were blocked.

Students, who defied the heavy downpour, caused gridlock on the road leading to the airport leaving many travellers stranded.

Operatives from the Lagos State Police Command, RRS operatives, Lagos Airport Police Command, and other security agencies are on ground.
