The Labour Party has formally welcomed a former Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Anambra State, Chief Valentine Ozigbo to their fold in Abuja.
Ozigbo who has intitially announced his defection to the Labour Party also decribed Mr Peter Obi, the party’s presidential flagbearer as ” the best president, Nigeria will ever have.”
Mr Obi and the National Chairman of Labour Party, Dr Julius Abure attended the welcome ceremony.
Obi wrote about the event on Twitter:
“Today, the leadership of the Labour Party formally welcomed Chief Valentine Ozigbo into the ranks of the LP. @valentineozigbo joining the LP adds immense value. It was gratifying to be present at the press conference announcing his joining the LP OBIdient Family. – PO”
Also commenting on the event, Chief Valentine Ozigbo tweeted:
“Today, I was formally received into @NgLabour by our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency @PeterObi and the National Leadership of the fastest growing party in Africa led by Dr Julius Abure, our National Chairman. #PeterObi#Obidients#ObiDatti2023#TakeBackNigeria.”
